Free webinar: Sexual Harassment at Work: Training Staff to Avoid Incidents
July 17 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm AEST
How do employers comply with the positive duty to prevent sexual harassment and discrimination?
Which business is going to hit the headlines next with a workplace sexual harassment scandal?
It’s happened to so many just recently – so it could happen to any organisation.
Clearly, the legacy approach to anti-sexual harassment – threats of penalties and dismissal, and training on the letter of the law – is no longer effective to prevent incidents (if it ever was.).
It is not sufficient to satisfy the positive duty test.
In this webinar two experienced managers and teachers will discuss how training will be much more effective if it takes a positive approach towards building a workplace where respect and diversity are core values.
- How should that training be structured?
- What format should the training be in?
- Who should deliver it, and how often?
- Who should be trained? Who needs to champion the training?
- What are the underlying assumptions that can make it hard for even the best people to ‘get’ this subject matter?
The webinar will focus on these questions and will include practical insights from our presenters’ own experiences.
