It’s never been easier to create, use and exchange data at work. But all these opportunities for working digitally and remotely come with new threats. Australian councils of all sizes are at risk of cyber attacks and data protection incidents caused by third party cyber criminals, internal malicious actors or simple human error.

Our cyber security training gives learners an overview of key types of cyber security risks, such as malware, phishing and Distributed Denial of Service attacks. The lessons equip learners with practical skills for minimising cyber security risks in their everyday roles when communicating online and sharing files, and recognising and escalating suspicious activity. The overhauled version of this course includes a focus on the cyber security vulnerabilities associated with working remotely and data breach reporting, as well as new case studies and scenarios to illustrate behavioural learning outcomes.
