Free Webinar: Workplace Behaviour: the changing landscape
March 2, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
The Respect@Work amendments to the Sex Discrimination Act are now law.
The amendments impose a positive duty on employers to take reasonable and proportionate measures to eliminate sexual harassment and hostile work environment, as far as possible, in the workplace.
The Respect@Work amendments are emblematic of the evolving responsibilities of employers to manage workplace behaviour and protect employees. They place a new emphasis on employers preventing harm in the workplace.
Training and other steps
It is essential that employers deliver appropriate workplace conduct training and education to employees to support meeting the new requirements. Please see our article (here) for a discussion on the benefits of training staff.
There are other steps employers should take to meet the new requirements.
In this free webinar, GRC Solutions’ Phil Haultain canvassed the new requirements for assuring safe workplaces, and some steps employers can take to satisfy those requirements.

GRC Solutions Workplace Behaviours Resources
Workplace Behaviours Training Course
This course includes – but goes beyond – standard sexual harassment training and anti-bullying training. GRC Solutions team decided to use this particular historical moment to create a new Workplace Behaviours course that brings together the concepts and tools of breach prevention with an aspirational push for organisations to create and promote their own diverse and inclusive cultures, within a single narrative arc.
We also offer standalone training on unconscious bias to help you and your staff recognise and analyse your unconscious biases, in order to deliver fairer and more reasonable outcomes and to create an inclusive organisational culture.
