A practical webinar for leaders, compliance professionals and risk owners
Bribery and corruption risk can arise in everyday business decisions—from procurement, gifts and hospitality to third-party relationships, tenders, payments and regional operations. Singapore’s anti-corruption regime applies to both public- and private-sector conduct, making practical governance and effective controls essential for organisations of every size.
Join GRC Solutions for a focused webinar examining how Singapore organisations can recognise corruption risks, respond to red flags and strengthen their anti-bribery and corruption frameworks. The session will translate the key requirements of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1960 into practical steps for leaders and compliance teams.
What the webinar will cover
- The scope and practical effect of Singapore’s Prevention of Corruption Act 1960, including public- and private-sector corruption.
- What “gratification” can include, from money and commissions to gifts, services, favours and other advantages.
- Key risk areas involving employees, agents, distributors, consultants, suppliers and other intermediaries.
- Red flags in procurement, tenders, gifts and entertainment, invoices, commissions and third-party payments.
- How clear business processes, diligent records, conflict declarations and accessible reporting channels can reduce corruption risk.
- Practical control design using CPIB’s PACT approach for businesses in Singapore.
Why attend?
Singapore takes a zero-tolerance approach to corruption. The Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau identifies the Prevention of Corruption Act 1960 as Singapore’s primary anti-corruption law and confirms that it applies to public- and private-sector individuals. A person convicted under the Act may face a fine of up to S$100,000, imprisonment for up to five years, or both, for each count of corruption, with a longer maximum imprisonment term for specified matters involving government contracts.
This webinar will help participants move beyond policy statements and focus on the practical controls, questions and evidence that support defensible decision-making.
Who should attend?
- Directors, senior executives and business leaders
- Legal, risk, compliance and governance professionals
- Procurement, finance, sales and internal audit teams
- Managers responsible for third parties, regional operations or government-facing activities
